Once the cap kicks in your effective rate shrinks — and more of every sale lands in your pocket.
Questions & Answers
1. What's a UPC, and why does my plan limit how many I can report?
A UPC is the barcode on a physical release. Your plan's number is how many can be actively reporting to charts at once — concurrent, not lifetime. New record on the way? Swap an older UPC out, slot the new one in. Digital catalog is unlimited and doesn't count toward this.
2. How does the $1.50 cap actually work?
15% stops at $1.50 per transaction. A $10 sale costs $1.50. A $200 box set also costs $1.50. The bigger the ticket, the smaller the effective rate.
3. How do I get paid? And how does Single get paid?
Fans pay through your Shopify checkout, so the money lands directly in your Shopify Payments balance — same as any other product you sell. Payouts to your bank follow Shopify's standard timing (usually 2–3 business days, depending on your region and payment method).
Single's fee is a flat 15% of each sale, applied as a Shopify app charge. You'll see it as a line item on your Shopify billing — no separate invoice from us, no manual transfers.
